Dr. Nagashima research studies precision medicine in brain tumors. As a neurosurgeon-scientist, Dr. Nagashima’s clinical practice is highly-focused on the care of brain tumor patients. Dr. Nagashima graduated from Toyama University graduate school of medicine in Toyama, Japan, receiving his MD degrees in 2007. And then he graduated from Kobe University graduate school of Medicine in Kobe, Japan, receiving his PhD degrees in 2016. He completed neurosurgery residency training at the Kobe University Hospital in 2013. He researched novel therapeutic approach to IDH mutant tumor as research fellow with Dr. Cahill in Massachusetts General Hospital from 2018 to 2020. His first faculty position was in the practice of neurosurgical oncology at Kobe University in 2021, where he is currently in active practice.
