I graduated and received my M.D. from Kobe University, Japan in 2000. I completed residency and fellowship training in department of Neurosurgery at Kobe University. After I received my Ph.D. from Kobe University, I did post-doctoral research training in department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at UCLA in 2009-2011. In January of 2012, I started clinical work and translational research as an assistant professor in department of Neurosurgery at Kobe University. In 2021, I was recruited to Kobe University Hospital, where I currently served as a lecturer and principal investigator in department of Neurosurgery at Kobe University.
My research interests focus on tumor pathogenesis and metabolic reprogramming for the highly lethal brain cancer, Glioblastoma (GBM), with the goal of developing effective treatments for GBM patients.
