Dr. Bently Doonan, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Florida Health Gainesville and UF Health Cancer Center. Dr. Doonan is a translational scientist with clinical expertise in advanced cutaneous malignancies and special focus on solid tumor brain metastases. He is a member of the University of Florida Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Program and leads programs focusing on novel small molecule inhibitors in combination with immunotherapy for brain metastases and the targeting of immune restrictive or immune ignorant metastatic sites to improve immunotherapy. He is the research head of the cutaneous malignancies disease site group for the UF Health Cancer Center and active member of multiple professional working groups including the Immunotherapy Subcommittee and Brain Tumor working groups at NRG and the Hoosier Cancer Research Network Melanoma working group. Dr. Doonan's research is supported by grants from the Florida Department of Health and industry support from Curis, Inc.
