Andrea Cruz, MS, is a graduate student researcher pursing a doctoral degree in cellular and molecular pathology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She previously completed her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in toxicology at the University of California, Davis and her Master of Science (MS) degree in environmental toxicology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Ann Arbor. Her current research objectives are to understand the biology of highly aggressive brain tumors, explore the therapeutic applicability of lesser known signaling pathways, and investigate the role of cellular crosstalk between glioma-associated macrophages and glioma cells in tumor growth and progression.
