Christina A. von Roemeling, Ph.D. is a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service award recipient and McKnight Brain Institute & Preston A. Wells Jr. Center for Brain Tumor Therapy Postdoctoral Fellow within the University of Florida Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Program (UFBTIP). She graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Biology & Behavioral Health before receiving her doctorate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Mayo Clinic School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. von Roemeling joined the UFBTIP team under the mentorship of Dr. Duane A. Mitchell, M.D., Ph.D. to continue her post-graduate studies. Collectively Dr. von Roemeling has over 10 years of translational research experience involving the targeted and immunologic treatment of cancer. Her long term research interest and efforts involve studying drivers of oncogenesis at both the molecular and cellular level, and identifying opportunities to develop targeted treatment strategies that can be directly translated into clinical therapies for brain tumor patients.
