Adam Hayden, MA is writer, speaker, organizer, and a nationally recognized patient advocate. He has published several articles from a patient’s perspective in both popular and academic presses. His professional appointments include membership on the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) Board of Directors and membership on the NBTS Research Roundtable Steering Committee. Adam has served on the Department of Defense Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Program Programmatic Review Committee, the American Association for Cancer Research Scientist-Survivor Program, and the Stanford University Medicine X (Med X) ePatient scholars program. Adam was a selected speaker for the 2019 End Well Symposium, and he is a regular speaker at the Indiana University School of Medicine Center for Bioethics. Adam is a consultant for new healthcare start-up Roon, a community transforming how medically vetted information is delivered to patients and care partners. His past advisory commitments included service to the OurBrainBank Executive Board, the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute grant-funded Brain Cancer Quality of Life Collaborative, and the Count Me In Brain Cancer Project. Adam is volunteer co-facilitator for the monthly NBTS Brain Tumor Support Conversations, and his blog, Glioblastology, is a popular peer-to-peer resource. Adam currently works as a Senior Communications Specialist for the consulting firm, Briljent, LLC, that offers professional services to clients in healthcare, social services, and information technology.
