Dr. Sonia Partap, MD, MS, FAAP is Clinical Professor in Neurology, Pediatrics, and (by courtesy) Neurosurgery at Stanford University where she practices both pediatric neuro-oncology and child neurology. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She then completed training in Pediatrics at Brown University, Neurology at University of Washington, and Neuro-Oncology at Stanford. Dr. Partap then completed a Master’s in Epidemiology at Stanford. Her clinical and research focus is on broadening access to clinical trials for all children with primary brain tumors and the epidemiology of these tumors. She directs the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at Stanford and serves as the pediatric neuro-oncology representative for American Academy of Neurology’s Section of Neuro-Oncology. She is very active in the Section of Neurology for the American Academy of Pediatrics and Child Neurology Society. Dr. Partap is honored to start her term as Deputy Director in 2023 for the SNO's Neuro-Oncology Academy.
