Steven Sloan, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Emory University School of Medicine in the Department of Human Genetics. He pursued his MD and PhD training at Stanford University before coming to Emory in 2018 to begin his research lab. His laboratory focuses on human glial development, cell fate in the developing brain, and modeling developmental and oncogenic disorders. As a model, the lab primarily uses human iPSC-derived organoid cultures and primary human tissue samples to ask these fundamental questions about glial biology.
