Haidong Huang, Ph.D is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Lerner Research Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He completed his Ph.D from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China, where his research focused on germ cell development and piRNA biogenesis in fruit fly. He then joined Cleveland Clinic and is working in Dr. Jennifer Yu lab in the Department of Cancer Biology to study glioblastoma stem cells and focuses on delineating the molecular mechanisms underlying stem cell maintenance and therapeutic resistance. His research interest lies in the adaption of glioblastoma stem cells to tumor microenviroments, especially hypoxia and the functions of non-coding RNAs. He aims to target non-coding RNAs to overcome glioblastoma resistance to therapy.
