Nicholas Nuechterlein, Graduate Student in The Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, at the University of Washington, Seattle.
I earned a dual undergraduate degree in Mathematics and English Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Motivated by a desire to work on meaningful, concrete problems, I moved to Seattle to study applications of data-driven machine learning methods on clinically relevant problems in adult brain tumors. I work at the intersection of computer vision and computational biology; I focus on the relationships between medical imaging, tumor genomic profile, and patient survival in adult-type diffuse glioma.
