Jamie holds a bachelor's degree in cell and molecular biology as well as a master's degree in neuroscience from McGill University. The research he performed at the Montreal Neurological Insititute's (MNI) Brain Tumour Research Center (BTRC) was focused on better understanding the origin and development of Sonic Hedgehog medulloblastoma. Jamie is currently a doctoral student at the University of Montreal where he uses machine learning and synthetic biology approaches to uncover the core set of tissue-conserved self-renewal genes.
