Jennifer Murillo, DO is a neuro-oncologist at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple and Waco, Texas. She completed her neuro-oncology fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She previously completed residency in neurology at Baylor Scott & White (BSW) in Temple, Texas. A graduate of West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Murillo knew early on she wanted to work in neuro-oncology and has been focusing her resident experiences to this end. She is currently working on several studies in recurrent glioblastoma patients and leptomeningeal disease. During residency, she was the principal investigator on a project geared towards evaluating the experience of veterans with brain tumors in Central Texas, has presented at regional neuro-oncology events, coordinated the neuro-radiology conference at BSW, and co-director of the CNS tumor board. She was awarded the third-place poster at the Texas Neurologic Society Annual Conference in Feb. 2020 for her cancer research in the military population. She continues to remain active in medical education as a teacher to fellows, residents, and medical students in the fields of neurology, neuro-surgery, and neuro-oncology.
