Timothy J. Stuhlmiller, Ph.D., is VP of Scientific and Medical Affairs with xCures, a health technology company that manages a precision oncology platform for prospective and decentralized clinical research. Tim received his Ph.D. from Yale University in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and underwent postdoctoral training in the UNC Department of Pharmacology studying signal transduction in oncogene-addicted cancer models. He utilized multiple systems biology approaches - proteomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, high-throughput functional screens - to understand adaptive resistance mechanisms to targeted therapies and propose rational combination regimens to promote durable responses. His industry experience in the start-up biotechnology space has included translational research, clinical protocol development, competetive market analysis, and strategic asset positioning. At xCures, Tim serves as the subject matter expert on molecular pharmacology, leads oncologist engagement, and supports academic and commercial partnerships to advance scientific interests. He leads a team of Ph.D. level scientists to build and maintain scientific and medical databases, perform real world data research, and service patients with advanced cancer.
