I am currently a postdoc research associate at Washington University in St. Louis. I completed my master’s in microbiology from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India in 2013. After receiving Department of science and technology (DST-INSPIRE) fellowship from government of India in 2014 I started my PhD in Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi in collaboration with National institute of immunology, New Delhi, India. The focus of my PhD study was to generate a dry powder formulation using live BCG bacilli which could be used as a vaccine against tuberculosis disease. The formulation was tested in mice and non-human primates and proved to be safe and effective in killing M.tb bacilli. In April 2021, I joint Chheda lab at Washington University in St. Louis as a post-doc research associate. Here, my research focus is to develop a new treatment regimen for glioblastoma by leveraging the immune system response to Zika virus (ZIKV).
