Dr. Sangita Pal is originally from India. After completing her initial schooling and receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine in
2007 from India, she moved to the USA for further education. She earned her Master’s degree in 2010 in Biological Sciences from The University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso, TX, winning the “Outstanding Master’s Thesis Biological Sciences” award from the College of Science, UTEP. She pursued her doctoral studies in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Houston, TX as a part of the Genes and Development graduate program and performed her dissertation research under the guidance of Dr. Jessica Tyler. She relocated to Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, NY along with her PhD lab and mentor, and completed the research work pertaining to her doctoral studies at Weill Cornell Medicine. She joined Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, an affiliated hospital to Harvard Medical School, in 2017 as a Research fellow for a short post-doctoral training, after which she joined the laboratory of Dr. Rameen Beroukhim at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA in 2018, where she is currently continuing her work as a Research Fellow.
