Tyer Lanman completed his undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at UCLA. After being selected as an IRTA fellow, he spent a year at the National Institutes of Health working in the Fischbeck Lab studying neurogenetic diseases. He went on to earn his M.D. from UC San Diego and is currently a fourth-year neurology resident at Stanford University. Upon graduation, he will complete a fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, training to become an academic neuro-oncologist. From a scientific perspective, he has experience leading projects involving cell/animal models, large databases, and clinical research.
