Natarajan Raghunand, PhD, is the Director of Radiology Research at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, USA. He leads a research group that is focused on the development of clinically translatable radiologic biomarkers for the management of cancer. Active clinical-translational research projects in his group include, ferumoxytol-enhanced MRI to guide immunotherapy for cancer, multiparameter MRI to guide adaptive therapy of glioblastoma, deep learning to predict optimal dose maps for stereotactic radiation treatment of breast cancer metastases to the brain, and machine learning approaches to analyze digital pathology and multiplexed immunohistochemistry. His group are also interested in preclinical molecular imaging to measure and understand tumor pH and redox, and strategies to manipulate these microenvironmental parameters for increased anti-tumor effectiveness of T cell-based therapies.
