Erika Lewis, MS is a 4th-year PhD student in the Plaisier Lab at Arizona State University. With a focus in computational biology, Erika merges multiple disciplines and utilizes a top-down approach to research, letting patient data direct further investigations. Applying this approach to glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), Erika integrates genomic, transcriptomic, radiomic, and patient survival data with biophysical properties to improve understanding of the complexity of GBM tumors. She hopes that her work will ultimately impact clinical treatment options and benefit those patients afflicted with GBM.
