I trained in biochemistry, molecular biology, virology and immunology at the University of Bochum, Germany. I did my Post Doc developing vaccine protein decoys to elicit an epitope-targeted immune response. Working in the field of oncology, I developed a cellular-based vaccine for anti-cancer immune response, I developed approaches to enhance anti-cancer immune response using immune cytokines. I also worked developing a new immune checkpoint system to enhance anti-cancer activity of Natural killer cells.
