Hello, my name is Nicholas O. Stevers, I am a sixth year Ph.D. candidate in the Joseph F. Costello lab at the University of California, San Francisco. I have a Bachelors of Science in Cellular and Molecular from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In the Costello lab I am investigate the regulation and maintenance of tumor cell immortality by GABP in TERT promoter mutant gliomas and a diverse array of other TERT promoter mutant cancers. Furthermore, I am investigating approaches for therapuetic reversal of tumor cell immortality and am engaged in studies of possible resistance and compensatory mechanisms. Through this work we have uncovered many interesting phenomenon that I am looking forward to sharing at the upcoming Society of NeuroOncology Annual Meeting.
