Jasmin Sponagel, PhD is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Dr. Joshua Rubin's laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her research focuses on sex differences in amino acid metabolism and the PI3K/mTOR pathway in glioblastoma. Jasmin received her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim, Germany. During that time she studied the impact of circadian rhythm on chemotherapeutic treatment approaches in glioblastoma in Dr. Joshua Rubin's and Dr. Erik Herzog's laboratories. Upon completion of her Bachelor's degree, Jasmin joined Dr. Joshua Rubin's and Dr. Joseph Ippolito's laboratories at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis for her dissertation work on sex differences in glutamine metabolism in glioblastoma. She received her PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2022.
