Nicholas Bayley is a PhD candidate in the Bioinformatics Interdepartmental Program at UCLA, co-mentored by Drs. Thomas Graeber and David Nathanson in the department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology. Nicholas specializes in bulk RNA and whole-exome sequencing analysis of cancer samples as well as analysis of single cell RNA sequencing with the 10x platform. His projects focus on dynamic state transitions in tumor cells transplanted in new growth environments - contemporary spheroid culture condtions and orthotopic mouse xenograft models. Nicholas is interested in the brain tumor microenvironment, including the role it plays in progression and resistance.
