I am a research associate at Imperial College London working with Dr Nelofer Syed on brain tumour metabolism and response to chemotherapy. I am particularly interested in developing novel metabolic therapies to treat glioblastoma, including arginine deprivation, ketogenic diet and targetting NAD metabolism. My areas of expertise include brain tumour biology, metabolic therapies and in vivo models.
I completed my PhD at Imperial College London in July 2018. I received a distinction in the Masters of Biomedical Research (Personalised Healthcare stream) from Imperial College London, England, in 2014. During my masters I completed two research projects, the first with Dr Hector Keun, looking at the role of metabolic pathways in platinum sensitivity in breast and ovarian cancer. My second project was spent investigating the role of oxygen availability on mesenchymal stem cell metabolism, under the supervision of Professor Sara Rankin.
