Edina Komlodi-Pasztor, M.D., Ph.D is the Director of Neuro-Oncology at MedStar Gelorgetown Univesity Hospital. She is a fellowship trained neuro-oncologist and a board certified neurologist. Dr. Komlodi-Pasztor is passionate about combining her medical knowledge and research experience for the benefit of advanced patient care. Dr. Komlodi-Pasztor received her medical degree in 2005 from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, where she also began her PhD studies under the prestigious MD-PhD scholarship. She completed her research of p53 intracellular trafficking in the U.S. at the Medical Oncology Branch of the NIH/NCI, receiving a PhD in 2011 from Semmelweis University. Dr. Komlodi-Pasztor served at NIH as a research fellow and later joined the private sector to establish a basic research laboratory and manage translational and clinical research, including investigator-initiated studies and sponsored trials. Dr. Komlodi-Pasztor completed her residency training at the Neurology Residency Program of the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, in 2020 and continued her training at the combined neuro-oncology fellowship program of Johns Hopkins University and National Institutes of Health. She is the first author of multiple peer-reviewed articles, one of which was selected among the “Top 10 must-read articles on targeted agents” by the editors of Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology.
