Dr Hambarde is an instructor in the Kenneth R Peak Center at Houston Methodist Research Institute. He is PhD in radiation biology field and have experience in oxidative stress response, mammalian cell death, DNA damage repair and magnetic field stimulation of cells and rodents. He published extensively in oxidative stress resistance, DNA repair and, more recently on the effects of spin oscillating magnetic field on cancer and normal cells. Recently, a novel therapeutic device was invented in the his group called 'oncomagnetic device'. He reported that spin oscillating magnetic field (sOMF) generated by oncomagnetic device can kills cancer cells but is completely safe for normal cells and tissues. His current research is focused on understanding the molecular mechanism of action of sOMF generated by oncomagnetic device in cancer and normal cells.
