Alvina Acquaye is a Outcomes Research Program Manager in the Neuro-Oncology Branch (NOB), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has been involved in Patient Outcomes research for 14 years and helped with the development and execution of several research studies. Her areas of focus include psychological distress and conditions impacting patients’ well-being and development of psychosocial interventions to help patients cope with their disease. She has been involved in several wellness initiatives from leading a health and wellness group within the NCI-CONNECT program for rare tumor patients, has co-chaired the SNO Wellness committee since its inception and has created several educational resources for patients and providers. She has been a licensed psychotherapist for over 7 years.
