Sofia Dhanani, MD is a first-year child neurology resident at Stanford Children’s. As a UC Berkeley alumna, with a BA in Cognitive Science, she has nine years of neuroscience research experience, four in neuro-oncology, and a background in computational neuroscience. She was the co-founder and CEO of two medtech startups, focused on improving global health literacy and access to mental health services, followed by experience in healthcare and pharmaceutical consulting. She then began her medical training at the Keck School of Medicine of USC where she conducted research in medical education at Keck and studied pediatric brain tumors at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She plans to continue her research career at Stanford and has a particular interest in leveraging machine learning to increase accessibility of care.
