Malte Mohme (MD) graduated from the University of Hamburg (Germany) and finished his thesis on self-antigen recognition and homeostatic T cell proliferation in multiple sclerosis in 2013. Translating his work on T cell dynamics into the field of neuro-oncology, he started a postdoctoral fellowship in the Laboratory of Brain Tumour Biology and the Institute of Tumour Biology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany. Working as an attending neurosurgeon and a clinician scientist in the Department of Neurosurgery (Director: Prof. Jens Gempt, previous: Prof. Manfred Wespthal), he primarily focusses on T cell biology and immune escape mechanisms of malignant gliomas.
