Eric M. Thompson, MD, is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, and Pathology at the Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Thompon's lab focuses on 1) elucidating the molecular mechanisms and treatment of leptomeningeal dissemination of pediatric brain tumors, 2) identifying mechanisms of resistance to viral immunotherapy, and 3) developing peptide vaccines that target antigens in malignant pediatric brain tumors. His clinical research focuses on immunotherapeutic approaches for the treatment of pediatric brain tumors.
