Naomi Lomeli, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Daniela Bota's laboratory at the University of California, Irvine, Department of Neurology. Dr. Lomeli investigates mitochondrial-mediated mechanisms of cancer-related cognitive impairments associated with the chemotherapy drug cisplatin and mitochondrial biology in glioblastoma. Dr. Lomeli's research interests are to develop clinically relevant, cancer-bearing rodent models to examine cancer-related cognitive impairments, and neuropathic pain with the goal of identifying targetable, molecular mechanisms with translational potential.
