She graduated from the University of Florida in August 2022 with her Doctor of Philosophy in rehabilitation science. Throughout her graduate training, Dr. Ernster helped develop and implement the first research protocol at the University of Florida dedicated toward integrating the routine collection of patient-reported outcome data at the UF Health Neuro-Oncology Clinic. Dr. Ernster’s ultimate research goal is to utilize her multi-disciplinary background to unite principles of rehabilitation science, psycho-oncology, and implementation science to conduct translational, pragmatic research dedicated toward improving the provision of person-centered cancer care. She is particularly interested in identifying multi-level intervention opportunities that leverage the use of patient-reported outcomes to enhance cancer care delivery.
