Dr. Kathryn Taylor obtained her PhD from the Institute of Cancer Research/University of London, where she studied the translational genomics of pediatric gliomas with Dr. Chris Jones. After recently completing her postdoc in Dr. Michelle Monje’s Lab at Stanford University, she became an Instructor in the department of Neurology. Dr. Taylor’s research investigates how the neuronal microenvironment promotes brain cancer progression. She obtained the prestigious Damon Runyon-Sohn Fellowship to fund her postdoctoral research, in which she investigated mechanisms of glioma integration into neural circuitry. Dr. Taylor aims to continue her contribution to the emerging field of Cancer Neuroscience, her research passion being on identifying desperately needed treatments for devastating pediatric cancers.
