Meeki Lad, MPH is a third-year medical student at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, currently conducting research with Dr. Manish Aghi as a visiting graduate at UCSF in the Department of Neurological Surgery. His research focuses on elucidating the role of neutrophils in glioblastoma, and characterizing the contribution of calvarial bone marrow to the tumor microenvironment. Previously, he had investigated sensitizers to etoposide therapy in glioblastoma while a research volunteer at the Columbia University Herbert Irving Cancer Center with Dr. Adam Sonabend. Besides translational research, Meeki has used his background in public health to launch and evaluate community healthcare programs, as well as publish peer-reviewed articles on patient engagement, medical literacy, and surgical training. In his free time, he likes to run and scour the city for finds grom his ever-expanding Yelp list,
