Alex Ling did his PhD in Cancer Biology with Dr. Stephanie Huang at the University of Chicago. There, he developed and utilized computational models for predicting patient drug response, including a method for predicting the clincial efficacy of drug combinations using data from high-throughput cancer cell line drug screens and phase I clinical trials. Following his PhD, Alex began a post-doc with Dr. Antonio Chiocca at Brigham and Women's Hospital. There, he has done both comptuational and bench work aimed at characterization and optimization of an HSV1-based GBM therapy that is currently undergoing clinical testing.
