Dr. Monica Venere is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at The Ohio State University. Her current research program is a culmination of her PhD training in the cell cycle and DNA damage response at the University of Pennsylvania and her postdoctoral training both in normal neurobiology at the University of California San Francisco and glioblastoma cancer stem cells at The Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. Her laboratory performs in vitro and preclinical in vivo studies aimed and understanding mechanisms contributing to radioresistance in glioblastoma and testing new therapeutic paradigms to overcome this resistance.
