Loyd Auerbach is the Knowledge & Research Consultant for California, Texas, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon.
Loyd has extensive experience in the legal industry. He previously worked for LexisNexis for over 20 years through 2006 in various roles including as a training consultant and practice area specialist primarily working with firms in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Loyd is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), NOCALL (Northern California), SCALL (Southern California), DALL (Dallas), HALL (Houston), LLOPS (Puget Sound, WA), and COALL (Colorado).
Before rejoining LexisNexis in 2017, Loyd gained a diverse experience with several law firms as a contract librarian and researcher, in the library at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and as a public speaking coach and professional speaker. He is a published author/co-author of a number of books (and he's a professional chocolatier on occasion).
Loyd has an extensive background with and in the media. Besides his own numerous television, radio, podcast, and print appearances, he has worked behind the scenes for several TV shows. Media is also in his blood: His father was a TV producer (NBC and independently). One uncle was a multi-decade director of soap operas (and active with the Directors Guild of America), and another uncle was a radio newscaster for many years and taught radio broadcasting after retirement. Loyd's brothers both work in the media as well.
Loyd is an adjunct professor at Atlantic University and National University. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Northwestern University, and his Master of Science degree in Parapsychology from John F. Kennedy University.
