Mahendra N. Jadhav, Dr Mahendra N. Jadhav is serving currently as, Librarian & Head, Central Library, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai. Dr Jadhav has more than 28 years working experience as library professional in various organisations like; Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, Directorate of Weed Science Research (ICAR) Jabalpur, IIT Bombay and presently working at IIT Madras, Chennai. He is well acquainted with recent trends in Library and Information Science. He has major contributions at IIT Bombay/IIT Madras like Library Automation, Library 3M electronic security system, RFID, ETD system, website design, Institutional Repository, IITM IRINS Scholars profile and ISO 9001 certification. He has also supported to INDEST consortia activities in the initial stage at IIT Bombay. Dr Jadhav has vast experience in various Library Management Software, Digital Library and open source Software’s. He is the recipient of the Best Employee award at IIT Bombay and at Directorate of Weed Science Research, Jabalpur for his explanatory library services. He is also a recipient of the meritorious and leadership award at IIT Madras in 2020. He is the recipient of SLA Asian Sci-Tech Librarian Award in 2021 and is currently Chair-Scholarly Communications, SLA-Academic & Education Community. Dr. Jadhav is a member of various professionals’ societies. He has published many papers in journals, conference proceedings and book chapters. He has also served as members of various committees, e.g. INDEST consortia, NMEICT, National Digital Library (NDL), etc.
