Melissa Fraser-Arnott is the Chair of the Marketing Section of the Leadership and Management Development (LMD) Community of the Special Libraries Association and the Senior Manager, Integrated Reference Services at the Library of Parliament in Ottawa Canada. She is a member of the San José State University School of Information’s CIRI International Advisory Board and Leadership and Management Program Advisory Committee. Melissa holds a PhD from Queensland University of Technology, an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario, and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business (AIB). She has 15 years of special library and public service experience, including roles at the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (now Global Affairs Canada), the Centre for International Governance Innovation, Ottawa Public Library, the Canadian Police College Library, and Algonquin College. Her research interests include professional identity, competency development, library marketing, and library management.
