Heather Hedden has been a taxonomist for over 25 years. She is currently working on the professional services team of Semantic Web Company (vendor of PoolParty taxonomy/ontology management software) and previously worked as a taxonomist at Gale/Cengage Learning, Viziant, First Wind, and Project Performance Corporation. Heather has designed and developed, taxonomies, thesauri, ontologies, and metadata schema for internal and externally published content. She teaches workshops on taxonomy creation at conferences, for corporate training, and for individuals online. Heather is author of of the book The Accidental Taxonomist.
