Eugene Giudice is the Senior Research Services Training Specialist at Dentons US LLP and works out of their Chicago office. He has been working full-time in law librarianship since April 2007 and has been able to bring his considerable consulting and information skills to several AmLaw 100 law firms.
Eugene has a BA from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois, an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, and an MLIS from Dominican University in River Forest, IL.
In addition to his work at Dentons, Eugene is very active in several librarian and civic organizations. He is a Past Grand Knight and Former District Deputy in the Knights of Columbus, the Librarian in Residence at the Italian American Veterans Museum in Stone Park, Illinois. His professional memberships include the Chicago Association of Law Libraries (CALL), the Illinois Library Association (ILA), and the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL).
His awards include the Master’s Medallion, presented by the Master of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus in 1993, the Outstanding Student award from DePaul University’s Department of Management also in 1993, and the Librarian Advocate Award from the Private Law Library and Information Professionals Special Interest Section of AALL in 2021.
The pandemic has allowed Eugene to embark on a new adventure in publishing. His first volume of pandemic-related reflections, entitled Reflections During a Pandemic: Thoughts While Sheltering in Place, was published in June 2021. His second volume of reflections, tentatively entitled A Librarian’s Sojourn: Messages of Hope and Inspiration will be published later in 2022.
Eugene and his wife Colleen, who supports him in all his work, live on Chicago’s northwest side.
