Transcend Charlotte provides free mental health, social and social support services to transgender, gender diverse and gender questioning youth and adults (18±) in the Charlotte-metropolitan area. We provide name change workshops, case management, peer support groups and more. Our Xpression Space program is a boutique style space where folx can explore their gender expression in a private, affirming person-centered experience. All items in our Xpression Space (including specialty items like binders and breast forms) are completely free of charge to our community members. Transcend’s mission is to “pursue equity and social justice for transgender and gender expansive communities.” Through our partnership with the Carolinas CARE Partnership, we are able to provide additional services like onsight HIV/STI testing and expanded mental health and housing support.
