Helen Kuo is a PhD student in the organoid team at Englander Institutes for Precision Medicine (EIPM) at Weill Cornell Medicine under the supervision of Drs. Olivier Elemento and M. Laura Martin. She received her B.S. degree from Purdue University. Before joining the Organoid Team at EIPM in 2020, she worked as a technician at Northwestern University for 3 years. Her thesis research focuses on using patient-derived tumor organoids to find treatment strategies for homologous repair deficient cancer with a combination of approaches, including high throughput drug screening and high content imaging. She is also developing co-culture models restoring key microenvironmental cells such as patient derived fibroblast to address how these cells impact on organoids development and treatment response.
