I've been working in the Pharmacutical industry for over twenty-five years a computational scientist and IT professional, and was recently honored to be nominated as Fellow Member of SLAS. I first got involved in SLAS by way of chairing a session in the Informatics track in 2014 and worked my through the Scientific Program Comittee culminating in having the privledge to serve as Conference Co-Chair in 2017. I am currently Head IT Business Partner for Non-Clinical Research & Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb, accountable for the strategy, planning and delivery of projects to enable data flow, analytics, knowledge capture, and provide general laboratory informatics capabilities. I was part of the team that launched Allotrope Foundation and served terms as Vice-Chair and Chair Board of the Directors. I also contribute to projects within the Pistoia Alliance, and work a bit with the IUPAC Committee on Publications and Cheminformatics Data Standards. Prior to joining BMS I worked at GlaxoSmthKline and Merck, and have published on topics in computational chemistry, cheminformatics, computational & structural biology, biochemistry and data strategy. I received my B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin and Ph.D. in Biochemistry at University of Maryland.
