Wolfgang Reindl, PhD, is working as a Principal Scientist in the High Throughput Biology group at Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach, Germany.
Wolfgang studied biochemistry at the University of Bayreuth, Germany and the University of York, UK. In 2008 he obtained his PhD in biochemistry/chemical biology for his work on small molecule inhibitors of cancer-related protein-protein interactions at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried, Germany, followed by a postdoc at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, CA where he was using various mass spectrometry techniques for small molecule research and metabolomics. In 2011 he joined Evotec in Hamburg, Germany, where he was working as a (Senior) Research Scientist in the Assay Development group, setting up various types of assays for high throughput screening, profiling, and biomarker detection. In 2018 Wolfgang took up his current position as Principal Scientist and Lab Head in Boehringer Ingelheim’s High Throughput Biology Group in Biberach, Germany. Here, he is running high throughput screening and profiling campaigns for various drug discovery programs.
