Elnaz Atabakhsh received her B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa, and completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Western Ontario, where she focused on deregulation of apoptosis and Raf-ERK signalling in cancer. She then relocated to Boston, where she completed her postdoctoral training at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in the field cancer epigenetics. From there, Elnaz transitioned to roles in industry, where she has in previously led the platform and product development strategy for a multiplex biomarker technology, developed and managed collaborations and alliances with partners in industry, academia, and government agencies, and managed exploratory and early stage drug development programs in oncology and genetically-defined diseases. She is currently the Associate Director for Scientific Alliances and Collaborations at Repertoire Immune Medicines, a Cambridge, MA-based company focused on decoding disease-specific immune repertoires in order to develop novel therapeutic modalities.
