Voice as a Sample Accessioning Tool

Abstract:

Metabolon, an RTP-based CRO, used a voice assistant platform to optimize their lab operations.

Metabolon lab ops personnel performed a number of tasks in pairs (2 FTE minimum), including accessioning incoming samples.

With voice assistants, Metabolon employees were able to replace one person in many of these tasks, freeing that person to focus on other work.

In some cases, using voice assistants was faster than having two FTEs dedicated to the task

Sample management team worked more efficiently, no longer requiring two people to perform manual tasks

In some cases, using voice tools helped the team save time (complete processes more efficiently)

Metabolon has used voice assistants to train new team members on sample accessioning process

Each poster participating in the scavenger hunt will have a SCAVENGER HUNT QR code. When that QR code is scanned using the SLAS2022 app, question about the poster will appear. You must answer the question correctly to collect points. BE SURE TO EXPLORE THE POSTER BEFORE SCANNING THE CODE! SLAS will award three prizes to the participants with the most points.
