Shally Venugopal leads Vivid Economics, North America—a sustainability focused boutique housed within McKinsey’s Sustainability Growth Platform. In her role, she supports financial institutions, technology companies, and food and land use companies both transform and communicate their strategies, investment, and products to capture the opportunities and mitigate the risks posed by climate change and other sustainability issues.
Shally comes to Vivid Economics after serving as Acting CEO of Concordian LLC, a global advisory and investment firm working at the intersection of finance, climate and land-use change, and public policy. She previously founded and led Myolo, a pioneering fintech startup, and was named one of the Top 40 Power Women of DC Tech.
Before Myolo, Shally led the private sector climate finance team at the World Resources Institute (WRI). At WRI, Shally worked with a wide range of financial to understand how to measure their emissions, evaluate climate risk and value pools, and create innovative financing instruments to leverage private capital. Shally started her career in Morgan Stanley’s public finance banking division and helped the Firm launch its first impact investment group focused on microfinance.
She graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Finance (Finance and Real Estate concentrations) and a minor in Mathematics.
