Zeba Khan is a doctoral candidate at the Laboratory of MEMS Applications, Department of Microsystems (IMTEK), University of Freiburg, since July 2021. She pursued her masters in Microsystems Engineer from University of Freiburg in October 2020. She completed her master thesis titled, ‘Hybrid 3D printing: A coalesced printing of polymer and solder’ under the guidance of Dr. Peter Koltay and Dr. Zhe Shu. During this work she demonstrated functional hybrid models of 3D electronics printed with electronics and electrical traces embedded within polymer layers. This work showcased a breakthrough in the low resistance achieved for 3D printed electronics.
She has worked as a design engineer and a supply chain engineer from Atlas Copco India Ltd, and Sainath engineers respectively from 2014 to 2017.
She completed her Bachelor in Engineering in 2014 from University of Pune. Her bachelor thesis titled, ‘Design and development of single stage flexural mechanism for LASER scanning operations’ was funded by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Later she published 3 research papers and a patent. ‘Sensor-less XYZ scanner for precision application’, which is under process.
