Space Foundry is developing plasma jet based direct write printing technology to enable next generation of printed electronics products. We focus on emerging printed electronics market that needs embedded and conformal electronics. Common problems in printed & conformal electronics product manufacturing include i)curing ii) heavy reliance on ink supply chain iii) multiple equipments and process steps iv) adhesion. Plasma jet printing is a single step, dry printing process that eliminates complexities including curing & high quality ink dependency. Plasma is used to tailor the electronic structure of the material and also to enhance the adhesion. As an early stage equipment manufacturer selling plasma jet printers and printing solution, we have made about 12 installations.
