More end users can benefit from the expanded the use of Flexographic printing for thinner lines and detailed patterns to realize the lower cost, faster turnaround times and ease of use compared to other printing methods. The community is asking for fine line widths < 20um; which flexo can now deliver.
This paper describes the results of pushing the current boundaries of Flexography for Flexible Hybrid Printed Electronics. We explore the interactions and optimization of practical printing techniques with commercially available technology using Flexo, PET, TPU, Ag ink, and state of the art printing hardware to provide repeatable results for single and multiple layer FHE printing.
Interactions of substrates, coatings, ink formulations, flexo plate design and printer settings will be explored.
